Social media app, WhatsApp, will soon get a feature that will enable chat transfers from iPhone to Android devices.
Samsung announced this development at its Galaxy Unpacked event that was held on Wednesday. However, to use this feature, you need a Samsung’s Smart Switch app which is only available on Samsung devices. At least for the time being it’s limited to Samsung but WhatsApp plans to bring this feature soon to both the operating systems.
Previously users could backup and restore their WhatsApp chat history when they switched devices but it was OS-restricted. WhatsApp wouldn’t allow a cross platform restore but this new development changes all of that. However small an accomplishment, its still a step in the right direction.
