Amazon Event 2021: Everything that Happened

Amazon held its Event 2021 on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, where it announced a slew of new gadgets.

There is the Amazon Echo Show 15 that’s designed like a photo frame and which you can hang on your wall. This device is the company’s largest smart display till date. It can control your home’s smart devices like lights, appliances, and security cameras, among others. Furthermore, it has new widgets for displaying to-do lists and electronic sticky-notes. There is also the new Visual ID feature that allows it to recognize individual family members and offer personalized service to each.

Further, the company unveiled Astro, a friendly home robot that can monitor the home, while you’re asleep or away. The device has Alexa, video calling capability, and security and safety features. If you are privacy minded, you can switch off its sensors and designate off-limits zones.

There is also the Amazon Ring Always Home Cam drone. This device will fly around your home and capture videos for you to view and monitor your home while you’re away.

Other devices the company unveiled are a smart thermostat to rival Google’s Nest and an “Hey Disney” voice assistant. It also unveiled Halo View, a health tracker; Ring Alarm Pro; Blink Video Doorbell; Amazon Smart Thermostat; and Amazon Glow, a video calling device for kids.
