WhatsApp Disappearing Messages to Get 90-Day Option

WhatsApp is currently testing an update to its Disappearing Messages feature that will allow users to auto-delete their messages after 90 days.

The chat platform originally introduced Disappearing Messages last year with the option to auto-delete chats after seven days. However, some users might want to hold on to their chats for longer, hence the new update. Asides these two options, WhatsApp has been working on a 24-hour auto-delete option.

These updates are part of a wider range of updates the platform is rolling out to make the chat app more attractive to users. Recently, it announced that it is working on a feature for transferring chats between iOS and Android devices. Also, it recently introduced a View Once feature that deletes your media messages once the recipient views them.

What’s more? The company is testing a bigger link preview. This feature is currently available to beta users; it will allow you to have a better idea of link’s content.
