Spotify music streaming service announces expansion to 85 new markets and adding 30 more language support in coming days.
The streaming service announced over a live streaming event where Justin Bieber, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle were present. They mentioned the markets included the developing countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Carribean and the Pacific, like Nigeria, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
The new expansion will support 36 new languages – a move that will take its total supported languages to over 60. To add more, Spotify will bring local sounds, like Amapiano, Afrobeats, and K-Pop to a wider, global audience.
