This pair of earbuds succeeds the WF-1000XM3 which was released two years ago. It improves on it in many ways. For instance, it supports USB-C and Qi wireless charging. It also offers improved active noise cancellation. Since the WF-1000XM3 was one of the best ANC earbuds in the world at release, the WF-1000XM4 ANC promises to be superb.
Further, the new earbuds have IPX4 water and sweat resistance; they also feature a lengthy battery life.
Sony created this line to maintain its edge against competitors like Apple’s AirPods Pro, and Bose’s QuietComfort. And according to early tests, it is a huge success.
