Instagram Adds ‘Drops’ New Product Shopping Feature

Instagram, has unveiled a new feature that will assist online shoppers in connecting product drops through its application.

Drops, a recent e-commerce trend, enables sellers to create hype for an upcoming limited-time product. As a result, they generate high demand for that product.

Users will find Drops at the head of the Shop tab. They can visit it to view, browse, and purchase recently launched products. The feature will enable them to discover upcoming launches. Also, it will enable them sign to up for reminders on these launches.

Going forward, users can make Drops purchases within the app via the Checkout tool. This will help them to bypass third-party sites and reduce cost. Eventually, Instagram plans to charge fees on purchases but, it is currently not doing so in a bid to aid businesses recover from the pandemic’s impact.

At the moment this feature is only available for iOS and Android users in US. If you’re an Instagram user, make sure to turn on Professional settings, gain over a 100 followers and have cool Instagram story design before getting into shops and drops.
