Social audio company, Clubhouse is finally launching for Android users.
At the moment, the application is only available for US-based users, but, the company plans to rollout the product to other English-speaking markets and then the rest of the world. This will take place over the coming days and weeks.
This phased rollout will enable it to gather feedback from users and use that to improve the Clubhouse app. Further, the phased rollout will ensure it can add new features to enhance users’ experience.
Non-US-based users can pre-register on the Clubhouse page on Playstore. And when the app is ready in their location, the company will notify them. As is the case with its iOS version, users will only be able to access the platform by invitation. The company says this will “keep the growth measured.”
Clubhouse’s success has resulted in many technology giants attempting to clone its social audio feature. Twitter recently launched its version called Twitter Spaces, while Facebook, Slack, LinkedIn, and others are at various stages of completion.
