Bang & Olufsen has released a new book-shaped speaker that will disappear into your bookshelf.
The Beosound Emerge speaker’s compact design is not a mistake. The motivation behind it is to have a high-quality speaker that can blend with your home environment. Despite its small size, the sound quality is as excellent as you would expect from a B&O product. It has a 4-inch woofer, 1.45-inch mid-range, and 0.6-inch tweeter.
The speaker supports both wired and wireless connectivity methods. Its wireless options are Spotify Connect, WiFi, Chromecast, Airplay 2, and Bluetooth 5.0. Finally, it has a built-in microphone for Google Assistant support. Its wired options are Ethernet, USB-C port, and optical jack.
It offers a premium sound experience in a compact device. It is perfect for people who want an alternative to speakers’ usual hulky size without compromising quality. What’s more? You can combine it with another Emerge speaker to make a stereo. There are two models – the first costs $699 while the other costs $899. They’re currently available for sale in select European markets but will be available globally by Autumn.
