Apple Experimenting New Ways to Unlock iPhone with Face Mask On

Apple is currently testing a novel feature that will allow iPhone users to unlock their device while wearing a mask, but for that the user also needs to have an Apple watch.

Currently, the users cannot unlock their iPhones with their mask on as the facial recognition system does not recognise them and instead requires a pass code. Fortunately, with the upcoming feature, users will no longer have to go through this arduous process.

The feature would allow the users to unlock their iPhones, just by raising the device to their face, while having their Apple Watch on.

While this update is still in testing – it is a part of the upcoming iOS 14.5 – the company expects to roll it out soon.

If you do not have an Apple Watch, you should get one. This article reviews different smartwatches and will give you a good idea on which to get.
