Chinese electronics company, Anker, has released it’s second generation gallium nitride (GaN) charger.
The lineup, called Nano II, has three chargers – 30, 45, and 65 watts, which cost $30, $36, and $40 respectively. The 30-watt charger is suitable for smaller devices like smartphones and tablets, although it can also charge a MacBook Air.
The 45- and 65-watt chargers, on the other hand, are suitable for laptops. They all have a USB-C port and utilise Anker’s proprietary PowerIQ 3.0 technology to allocate charging wattage.
The chargers in this lineup are smaller and 20% more efficient than their predecessors. Consequently, they generate less heat. The company credits this development to an upgrade of their chips and internal layout.
These chargers will begin to ship on June 10. However, you can pre-order them on Amazon or Anker’s website.
