Amazon revealed its new, 2nd generation Echo Buds on Wednesday, April 16, 2021.
The headphones, scheduled for a May 13 launch, are 20% smaller than their predecessor. They also have a more comfortable design, active noise cancellation technology, and a hands-free feature for Alexa.
This pair of headphones offer better value to users. With an IPX4 rating, they are resistant to sweat and light rain. When fully charged, they can deliver up to 5 hours of performance with the ANC active. Otherwise, they can last for 6.5 hours.
Also, they come with free Amazon Music Unlimited and Audible Plus for six months for some customers.
While Amazon hasn’t released the accessory, the headphones are available for pre-order and at a 20% discount. Buyers will have two options: wired charging and wireless charging. Without the discount, the wired charging model will cost $120, while the wireless charging model will cost $140.
