Managed WP Hosting for Businesses
We have added this section here mostly because some of the best Managed WordPress Hosting services have shifted their focus to businesses.
Pantheon

Pantheon is another stellar platform for WordPress and Drupal managed hosting. Their price list combined with feature list is enough to make organisations consider using their platform over others. To start with they give free sandbox environment with dev, test and live environments in all their plans.
You pay only when the site is ready to go live. Their Basic plan starts at $50/mo or $41/mo (paid annually). The plan supports 25,000 visits, 125,000 page views, automated and manual backups and 20GB SSD. EdgeCache, free SSL and Global CDN is included in all their plans so your site will be fast from day 1.
Performance plans are tailored for businesses that need guarnteed uptime and high performance websites. These start at $175/mo and go upto $1,000/mo. If you go via an agency partner you can get upto 30% off on all plans via preferred pricing. Performance plans guarantee 99.9% uptime, inlcude Redis (app cache), Solr search and New Relic Pro for application and website performance analyses.
Pagely

Initially listed above, Pagely has moved down below because they’ve done away with their personal plans and are focused on Business and Enterprise only. They are the original creators of Managed WordPress Hosting and pretty much live and breathe WordPress.
They host with AWS and have developed their own PressArmour to address security concerns with WordPress. There is no site or platform which is 100% secure, however they try to be.
Their base plan, VBurst-1 allows upto 5 websites and includes PressCDN, PressCache, PressDNS and PressArmour. The plan also includes 30GB storage, 20 GB bandwidth and 150 GB CDN. This is decent for a $199/month price point if you are running / managing multiple websites for clients and don’t want to worry about the small stuff. They also have SSH, WP-CLI, GIT/SVN and staging sites.
For a full list of features across all plans, see here.
PressLabs
Those with bigger budgets, over 100K page views per month and need to have their sites served from multiple locations via their data centres should definitely check out PressLabs. Their Publisher plan , starts at $299/month. So what is included besides getting your content served from all over the globe? They give a development environment, built-in GIT control, High Availability, CDN and on going monitoring of your site to ensure its up, running smoothly and free from malware. PressLabs also provide logs for your site so you know exactly where the bottle necks are.
They specialise in hosting WordPress Media / News websites hence they should definitely be considered if you’re starting a global publication.
You missed wetopi an underdog managed wordpress hosting!
How you missed in list wpengine, kinsta as managed wordpress hosting?
They are listed under business hosting on page 2 🙂
Closte will just destroy all listed hosting providers here, they have unique billing model “pay what you really use” and they are using google cloud platform and google cdn. I think they are first hosting provider to use fully google infrastructure.
I`m hosting my site there, i pay around 6.5$, 150,000 page-views monthly.
No it doesnt destroy any or all listing mentioned here.
a) Closte.com still has placeholder text all over the website which doesnt look good (and frankly looks bad and unprofessional)
b) They have been developing since 2 years and have very recently (read 3 months) dipped their toes in hosting.
We’ll mention them in our list if and when they reach the point of stability & the mark of reliability. Right now, they are not sure about their domain even so we can’t recommend them.
Hi Q, A nicely done post. Cloudways is also a best managed WordPress hosting platform with super speed & reliability and also falls under the price range mentioned above.
Thank you. Will check them out and include them
Hi there, your post gave me a clearance about choosing wordpress managed hosting thanks a lot.

I have run several blogs and websites on wordpress, i’m using versio for a few years and i’m very happy with it. A wordpress hosting cost you 4.99 a month, that is nothing for the great service.
Your post is really helpful, you just made it so easy to choose the best hosting platform… Thanks again for the wonderful write-up… Keep update.. 🙂
Rose Hosting is one of the most reliable cloud hosting providers under $30. They offer fully managed support for only $20 which is amazing deal.
Many thanks for including Pressidium on your list of Managed WordPress Hosting platforms. It’s an honor to be among such excellent company as the platforms highlighted in your post. If we can ever answer any questions regarding the Pressidium Pinnacle Platform, we are always at your disposal.
In my case, I already found the ideal hosting service for me even if it cost me more than $200 a year, I use a business hosting account with dedicated IP and many other security and maintenance features.
