ASUS Launches PadFone Infinity & FonePad


Just a few month back Asus had launched PadFone 2 and yesterday in Barcelona, Spain, at the Mobile World Congress, the company revealed PadFone Infinity.padfone-infinity

The PadFone Infinity is a Android-powered smartphone that physical docks into a larger tablet enclosure.

Specs-wise the Infinity’s smartphone component boasts of a 5-inch 1080p display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core 1.7GHz processor. It also packs a 13-megapixel F2 camera and a unibody design (which means a non-removable 2,400mAh battery) made of aerospace-grade aluminum alloy. The smartphone is also featuring 2GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard storage and another 50GB of cloud storage provided by Asus. It will of course run the latest Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).

The PadFone Infinity is slated for a April release and will retail for 999 Euros .

The PadFone Station, the tablet part, features a full-HD 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1200 pixels and has a built-in 5,000mAh battery inside.

ASUS also unveiled the much rumored Fonepad – an Intel powered device, .

The tablet is a 7-inch Android device that can make phone calls. The rumors were true, it sports an Atom Z2420 processor, 1GB of RAM, and the 3G wireless radio to make all those tablet calls possible. It is slated to launch in April in the UK with a €219 price tag.
